As I have owned them for some time I recently felt that it would be a good idea to have them sharpened and so I took them to my local kitchen supply shop to do this. Unfortunately shortly after getting the knives back I found that they became blunt quickly and even though I sharpen each knife every time I use it the knives would not keep a sharp blade nor pass the tomato test. Having read Rose Princes article some time ago in the Daily Telegraph about Prosharp I thought I would give them a try and what a result. Even with extra work required to repair some damage made by the kitchen shop the knives came back ultra sharp and very quickly. This service and the turnaround time was very impressive and as a result I will most certainly do this again next year. In addition at 4 per knife, for knives that can retail at upwards of 100, this is great value for money especially when the knives come back just like new.. With a mad rush to catch the train, I run out of time to post my scissors to you from my home in a grim corner of Essex. That''s how they ended up being posted from Newlyn on Saturday morning (ah, yes, the day it didn''t pour down all day!). Although, I guess I could just have chucked them out of the train window as we passed through Hayle.... However, very efficiently, I lost your address, which has just now come to light! I brought my pinking sheers from Florence, in Italy, as I couldn''t find anyone there, to sharpen them.
